Why It's Needed
Supporting victims is essential, but it alone cannot end cycles of abuse. Without working directly with those who cause harm, violence and trauma continue to repeat.
Community leaders, including the London Gypsies and Travellers, asked us to create a programme that addresses this urgent gap.
Our Approach
The Perpetrator Programme is trauma-informed, culturally aware, and grounded in accountability. It creates a space for individuals to recognise the root causes of their harmful behaviour — from stress and emotional regulation issues to unhealthy beliefs and learned behaviours — and begin to change.
This is not about excusing abuse. It is about interrupting it.
What the Programme Provides
Exploration of belief systems and behaviour patterns
Tools for emotional regulation and stress management
Trauma recovery models to address underlying harm
A balance of compassion and firm boundaries
Real-world insights from reformed individuals with lived experience
Outcomes
By equipping individuals with the tools to take responsibility and transform their behaviour, we reduce reoffending, protect families, and create safer communities.
Expansion
The programme launches in partnership with London Gypsies and Travellers, with plans to expand to Liverpool and beyond.
